Welcome to our kingdom!
We call this open-ended play space "the boat". Every day it is the home of hours of dramatic play.
Water is a fascinating and irresistible play resource. We practice thinking about conservation by only filling the dispensers up once a day. If the water is spent all in five glorious minutes of pouring, that is both great fun and a valuable learning experience.
Children crave new and interesting full body play. These tunnels provide opportunities for challenging climbing and imaginitive play.
The front of the school is dedicated garden space! We love to grow tomatoes, potatoes, and strawberries.
This crepe myrtle is not only an excellent climbing tree, it is also absolutely gorgeous when it flowers. And the blossoms double as play materials!
Our class aquarium makes our inside space more beautiful and interesting, and it also lets us learn about the Nitrogen Cycle, photosynthesis, fish life cycles, caring for a pet, and more.
Some play is better inside! Our indoor space is reserved for calm, constructive play such as blocks, Legos, and art. It also gives us a comfortable play to play when the weather isn't as stellar as usual.
Every year we plant a native wildflower garden to attract native bugs and birds.
Our humble beginnings! This school was built from the soil up with love and a passion for play.
